to create the Monterey. When you play the legendary single cutaway, there's
no doubt you're ready to rock! Boasting a classic design with exceptional
playability, the Monterey accentuates the recognizable shape of musical
history but with modern touches added for the uncompromising player. The
Monterey Elite and Deluxe feature a carved 5-A Canadian flame maple top,
mahogany body and tapered set-neck, Locking tuners, Graph Tech® Trem
Nut, Tune-O-Matic bridge. Deluxe model boasts split trapezoid pearl inlays
in a rosewood 22-fret fingerboard and hosts the mighty active pickup combination
of an EMG® 60 pickup in the neck position, and EMG® 81 in the bridge
position.

The Monterey Deluxe guitar arrived yesterday, 10/10/2006. What a great
instrument. I was looking for a guitar with which to do my Santana
and Al
DiMeola impersonations. This will fill the bill very nicely. I got
sore
fingertips playing it last night. The action, fit, finish, and sound
are
superb.
I was turned on to your site via Steve Hackett's web site. I'm a huge
Hackett fan. His equipment section talked about the Fernandes Sustainer.
The
Sustainer link on the Hackett site ultimately brought me to your web
site. I
have a live performance DVD of Steve with his rock ensemble. I was
able to
see and hear the sustainer in action, thanks to the DVD. Ironically,
I opted
not to get it. Enough reviews of the Fernandes guitars favored
the pure
Seymour Duncan setup, that I chose the Deluxe model. Having been a
DiMarzio
fan for years, I'm really enjoying the sound and response of the SD
pickups.
It's a great change of pace.
